While fully realizing that this bit of news is complete fluff compared to the rest of the stories of global depression, I still find it sad. If you follow fashion at all, you know that Blass was a pioneer and an American fashion icon for so many years - and the fact that no severance was guaranteed for his loyal workers is flat-out unfair. I hope someone catches wind of this and makes a big stink (a la Republic Windows & Doors).
