Today was one of those great days in the life of a person - seeing family, getting hugs and kisses from the most adorable niece and nephew someone could have, a long overdue pedicure, and freshly baked sugar cookies. At one point during dinner, my father turned to me and quietly asked me if I'd thought recently about how unbelievably lucky we all are to have our health, and one another.
And with a sly smile, I said that I had.
